Within its dynamic and diverse environment, the space offers a rich program of performances, exhibitions, and activities encompassing a variety of artistic disciplines. It also provides welcoming common areas and engaging educational courses. Our innovative approach to the new Palácio das Artes brand reinforces the institution's autonomy and clearly communicates its mission as a vibrant hub of creativity and discovery for all.
Inspired by the building's distinctive facade, our new icon captures the rhythm and perspective of its signature fins – an instantly recognizable landmark of Belo Horizonte. These forms evoke the image of an open door, inviting exploration of the captivating world of artistic expression housed within this vital cultural space. The versatile design can also function as a window, adapt to horizontal or vertical formats, and showcase the diverse range of programming.
Typography was carefully selected for its legibility, with certain letters in the signature receiving a custom redesign. The angular structure of the "A" adds a sense of strength, personality, and stability to the brand, further emphasized by its repetition. The elongated accent mark introduces a touch of elegance, while the rounded forms of the "O" and "C" create visual balance, resulting in a striking and easily recognized logo.
