LocalizaLabs BH
Urban layout shaping new business
LocalizaLabs is the technology and data science hub of Localiza, Latin America's largest car rental network. For their Belo Horizonte location, our signage and wayfinding project drew inspiration from the city's map, architecture, and urban art to create a genuine connection between the space and the Minas Gerais capital.
One of the key aspects of our design is the use of floor graphics for directional information. We incorporated arrows on the floor, pointing towards various neighborhoods in Belo Horizonte. On the city map, we also included relevant locations to Localiza's history, alongside information and interesting facts about the city's landmarks. Other notable features include graphic elements inspired by the tilework of Pampulha's architectural project (an UNESCO site) and urban artworks created by invited artists.
The signage at Localiza Labs is premised on combining technology and innovation with an industrial aesthetic. Referencing the brand's graphic elements, the signage is strategically placed throughout the facility, reinforcing Localiza's identity and guiding visitors and users.
